The Goethe-Institut, GIZ and PECOJON kindly invite you to take part in a photography competition programme with your photo story “Climate Change: Be Aware Take Care”. Share through your photo story your ideas about what climate change and the challenges to human kind mean to you and what visions you have to deal with it. You will have a chance to share your photos, receive feedback by a jury of professionals from Germany and the Philippines. The selected candidates will have the opportunity to participate in a creative photography workshop, develop photo essays, participate in an exhibition and compete for prizes.
Who can participate?
Citizens* and residents** of the Philippines between 18 and 35 years of age with a portfolio of up to 10 photographs. If selected, applicants must be available to attend the workshop. The workshop will be held in English, thus applicants should have a good command of the English language.

How will the programme work:
All interested and eligible photographers are invited to apply:
o Fill out the application form from www.goethe.de/manila and e-mail it to email@example.com by 09 September 2013
o You will find mechanics for the photo story, the application form and instructions to upload your photos and your personal motivation-letter to the photo story platform by end of June, 2013 on our website www.goethe.de/climate.change
Photos must be original work of your own.
o 15 photographers will be selected by Andy Spyra (Germany), Veejay Villafranca and Charlie Saceda (Philippines) by 30 September 2013
o Selected photographers will be assigned a photo essay on a given topic which they will produce by 31 October 2013
o The photo essays will be curated and the 15 winners will be invited to a free creative photography workshop held 23-26 November 2013 in Makati City MM, led by and Andy Spyra (Germany) and Veejay Villafranca (Philippines)
o The photo essays will be published online and depending on the results in printed catalogues and at a printed exhibition
o Three most successful workshop participants will be awarded in addition with individual prizes
